The McGovern Center for Leadership and Public Service offers both a major and minor in Public Service and Leadership (PSL) through study at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Leadership is a relatively new academic discipline that offers exciting possibilities for almost any chosen career field. Students are encouraged to strengthen their marketability by double majoring or pursuing a minor in a field that will compliment their studies in PSL. Graduates of the program are introduced to the many theories and models of leadership that are applicable in any setting.

Ethics, communication skills, critical analysis and practical experience (especially internships) are critical education components stressed throughout the curriculum. Students who graduate from the program can expect to find employment in the government agencies, business, non-profits, public service (including political office), and just about any field imaginable.
