Student Involvement at Dakota Wesleyan University
A one-credit Honors Program course was offered in a seminar format providing flexibility to seven students in determining the specific focus of a course project related to childhood hunger. Each student chose a topic for the course project after participating in four group sessions and the entire McGovern Center Conference.

Course projects were presented on the following topics:

• "Do Something"
• WIC Program
• Heifer International
• School Lunch Program
• "What is the Connection with Breakfast?"
• "Permanent Underclass?"

• August 29, 2003  McGovern project receives $100,000 grant

• June 6, 2003  McGovern Center Conference scheduled for November
